Hustla is a South African platform for verified domestic worker hiring. Every worker on Hustla clears a five-point verification: SA identity check, criminal record clearance, proof of address, employer references, and right-to-work confirmation. The platform is POPIA-compliant, built by Thought Into Reality (Pty) Ltd, and operated under the parent company iDeployed UG, Leipzig, Germany.

Why we built this.
Hustla was founded in 2026 by Hamid Wakili. The idea emerged from a problem he witnessed first-hand: the near-total absence of trust infrastructure in South Africa’s domestic employment sector — a market of millions of workers and households operating on word of mouth and paper references alone.
Wakili previously founded Rabbit Messenger, a mobile messaging platform acquired in 2018. Hustla is his return to the African market — building the verification layer that domestic employment has never had.
